Eye Entropion in Dogs
Entropion is primarily a genetic abnormality that causes a dog's eyelids to roll inward. This inward positioning means that your pup's fur and eyelashes rub against the surface of the eye, often causing pain, conjunctivitis, eye infections, corneal ulcers, perforations, and in some cases the development of pigment on the cornea which interferes with your dog's vision.

Your vet will prescribe any medications that are needed for secondary conditions along with antibiotics at the time of the surgery.
Your dog will typically be able to return home on the same day as their procedure. In order to ensure the best possible recovery, your dog will be fitted with a cone. This will prevent your dog from pawing at their eye while it heals.
You should bring your dog in for a check-up around two weeks after the surgery and have any sutures removed. Your dog will be healed and back to normal after about a month.
